Shiwei Liu
Biology Graduate Student
Shiwei Liu is a second year PhD student in biology. She obtained her BS and MS in biology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Shiwei has always had a passion for helping others. During collage, she volunteered in an India education trust to help improve the education of young children. Her research interest centres on the genetic mechanism of drug resistance in the Malaria parasite, Plasmodium falciparum. Her current research focuses on studying the contribution of copy number variation to antimalarial resistance development using single cell approaches.
