August 23, 2018 11:00am to 2:00pm

Dear Colleagues,

GIDI would like to invite you to our first “Proposer’s Day” focused on the Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases Opportunity. This program is directly aligned with GIDI’s mission and calls for diverse collaborations. This opportunity will engage diverse perspectives and disciplines, and especially calls for those that build and Develop Quantitative Models.

EEID Proposer’s Day will be held on August 23rd from 11-2pm at the Corner Building.

The goal of this event is for participants to share their ideas and expertise as it pertains to the EEID program, in order to build teams that will successfully apply for this opportunity. Ultimately, we seek to facilitate the development of competitive proposals and to provide you with any support where we can.

Like Proposer’s Days run by entities like DoD, we will provide background about the structure and objectives of the EEID program. Participants will then give short “flash talks” on their research as it pertains to EEID: what they can bring to a team and project and what they would need. Afterwards, participants will mingle and discuss ways to build teams.

If you would like to participate, or if you are interested in this opportunity but unavailable, please send an email to gidi@virginia.edu.

We look forward to hearing from you.
