Education & Training

As part of GIDI’s effort to promote transdisciplinary research with real world implications, we are educating and training the next generation of researchers, clinical investigators, entrepreneurs, educators, and policy makers through sponsored research and professional development opportunities. GIDI Trainees and Fellows include undergraduates, graduates and postdoctoral research fellows who are supported through GIDI seed grants, have received GIDI iGrants, or are recipients of GIDI-UP awards (see Research for more information). The GIDI Academic Council (GIDAC) is a trainee led organization that aims to foster multidisciplinary discussions and scholarly activities on topics of global infectious diseases.
